Dealers boost business in Savannah
SAVANNAH, GEORGIA— A tour of Espy Lumber Company in Okatie, South Carolina, was the first order of business for the 2024 ProDealer Industry Summit.
Espy Lumber, the 2022 Independent ProDealer of the Year, welcomed a busload of industry pros to inspect the yard, the showroom and the overall facilities of the two-location low country dealer, which also operates a location on Hilton Head Island.
The tour is just one of a long list of networking and educational opportunities built-in to the event, hosted by HBSDealer and the National Lumber & Building Material Dealers Association. And dealers from around the country.
The three-day event will feature legislative updates, including a presentation from Congressman Buddy Carter (R-Ga.). Economic insights are on tap from Keynote Speaker Michael Chriszt, the vice president and regional engagement officer at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta; as well as Chris Beard, the buildings products analyst from John Burns Research & Consulting.
The 2024 ProDealer Industry Summit runs through Oct. 11.
