Congresswoman Suzan DelBene (D - WA) will share her perspectives on the current political climate in Washington, D.C. and discuss key issues facing the country today at the ProDealer Industry Summit.
DelBene is the lead sponsor of the Affordable Housing Credit Improvement Act, a top legislative priority of the lumber and building material industry. She will discuss her role in introducing this legislation in the House of Representatives as well as the importance of affordable housing and the LBM industry to our nation’s economic success at the summit, which runs virtually next week Oct. 7 - Oct. 9.
First sworn into the House of Representatives in 2012, DelBene brings a unique voice to the nation’s capital, with more than two decades of experience as a successful technology entrepreneur and business leader. She currently serves on the House Ways and Means Committee, which is at the forefront of debate on taxes, healthcare and retirement security.
In the 116th Congress, she was appointed to the Select Committee on the Modernization of Congress. The committee was created to find ways to improve and modernize the way Congress operates. She also serves as Vice-Chair of the New Democrat Coalition, and co-chair of the Women's High Tech Caucus, Internet of Things Caucus, Dairy Caucus and Aluminum Caucus.
