The 2024 Top Women in Hardware & Building Supply Awards event will return to Chicago Nov. 20-21. And it’s bringing heat.

Mixed in among the day-and-a-half of recognition, of networking and of education will be four experts in their fields of communication and entrepreneurship.

The Chicago event will feature:

Kelsey Crouch on the topic of “Building Your Brand - A workshop on how become a bad ass.”
Crouch has spent her life working to impact audiences through various forms of storytelling, first as a professional theater and film actress in New York City, then as a TEDx and special events organizer, and for the last 10 years as an international communication consultant focusing on strategic corporate communication, narrative and content development, business storytelling, performance, executive coaching, facilitation, and immersive experience design. They’ll be something in her presentation for everyone.

Melissa Stockwell, keynote speaker
Entrepreneur, decorated military veteran, U.S. Paralympian, author and “American Girl.” -- these are all accurate descriptions of our keynote speaker. Also, she is an American war hero who has triumphed over personal tragedy to achieve greatness, World Champion status, and she has dedicated her life to chasing remarkable accomplishments while giving back to others, particularly those who face challenges similar to her own.

Lisa Saunders, Do it Best divisional merchandise manager, on “Negotiation Skills & Being Your Own Best Advocate.”
Saunders will lean on her experience in multiple industries and her expertise in domestic and international merchandising in her presentation.

Gianna Vallefuoco of Vallefuoco Contractors on “The Science & Art of Mindful Leadership”
Here presentation is well-suited for today’s busy environment. Construction is not Gianna’s only gig. She’s a certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher and Speaker with a passion for teaching humans how to thrive, while articulating the science behind thriving. She carries years of experience in compassionate leadership, bringing mindfulness practices to the construction industry. Gianna specializes in empowering leadership teams to model mindfulness, and lead both effectively and compassionately.
