Central Valley Builders Supply, the Nothern California prodealer, said it recently acquired Caseywood Corporation.

Based in Grass Valley, California, Caseywood was founded in 1985. The prodealer serves builders and contractors in the greater Tahoe Truckee markets as well as the Sierra Nevada foothill market.

Initially founded by John T. Casey, for over 30 years the business has been run by John’s two sons Kevin and Mark Casey as well as John’s son-in-law Brent Fraser. According to Central Valley, the move is a union of two multi-generation, family-run businesses.

“Caseywood represents the legacy and vision of our father and father-in-law, John T. Casey,” the Casey family said in a press release issued by Central Valley. “This legacy is sacred to the three of us and, as such, we chose Central Valley as the perfect strategic buyer that allows this legacy to continue for years to come all under the Caseywood brand.”

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Central Valley said the acquisition of Caseywood Corporation will result in an expanded footprint across Northern California, encompassing five retail locations three sourcing lumberyard locations, a design center, a door and window shop, two rail yards, and a combined workforce of approximately 240 employees.

“The addition of Caseywood is a strategic step toward our overall growth goals. It allows Central Valley to bookend the greater Sacramento, foothills, and Lake Tahoe markets,” said Steve Patterson, Central Valley president and CEO. “Caseywood has a solid reputation and is known for their superior service and creative problem solving.”

Central Valley is based in Napa, California. In addition to serving builders and contractors, the dealer serves regional vineyard operators and DIYers.
