“I’m very proud of our organization supporting a local non-profit that has made a profound impact within the community. We thank our customers,” said Thomas Yankura store manager at Carr Hardware.
Gifts of Love helps meet the basic needs of individuals and families in greater Hartford who are experiencing a financial crisis so they can achieve and maintain self-sufficiency.
This locally owned independent hardware store and Do it Best dealer began its anniversary celebration by donating the sales of over 50 buckets to Avon Gifts of Love plus offered their customers the option to round-up their purchases to the nearest dollar for the entire month of November.
“We are a community business that believes in giving back, it has been part of our core culture for the past 93 years and always will be,” said Yankura.
Funds from both the sales of the buckets and the Round Up were collected and went directly to Gifts of Love, the company said.
