Cameron Ashley Building Products has announced it will be the exclusive, full-line wholesale distribution partner to TimberHP, the first dry-process wood fiber insulation manufacturer in North America.
Based in Madison, Maine, TimberHP developed and manufactures high-performing, cost-competitive wood fiber insulation that is healthy for people and the planet, Cameron Ashley said.
Made from wood chips leftover from sustainable forest harvesting and lumber production, TimberHP’s products are resistant to moisture liabilities, mold and fire, and offer superior properties to reduce heating and cooling loads.
“We are thrilled to partner with TimberHP and look forward to introducing their high-quality and innovative products to our customers. We support TimberHP’s mission of sustainable, environmentally responsible solutions during this critical time when demand for cost-effective, negative carbon footprint products is high,” said Donny DeMarie, president and CEO of Cameron Ashley.
“We are excited to play a small role in helping to revitalize Maine’s economy and are pumped up to be supporting better-performing solutions for both people and the planet,” DeMarie added. “We continue to partner exclusively with the finest brands in the insulation industry, and TimberHP is another example why Cameron Ashley is the premier wholesale distributor of insulation products.”
TimberFill dense-pack and attic insulation will begin shipping in July and will be stocked in Cameron Ashley’s eastern distribution centers.
Additionally, TimberHP will start production of TimberBatt, a sustainable, sound-dampening and thermal bat insulation, in the fall. TimberBoard, a carbon-negative continuous insulation board, will be produced in the winter of this year.
