Business Excellence: Cindy Kandel

Cindy Kandel is the divisional merchandise manager at Hartville Hardware & Lumber, and possesses what the company called, “the discerning ability to source products that resonate with customers while maximizing profitability.”

In 2022, she identified emerging trends that resulted in a reset of the Carhartt department. Her contributions ensured an effective merchandising strategy that aligned with the company’s goals and resulted in sales growth.

Through meticulous planning and management, Cindy led the construction of a 1,850 square foot Idea House built inside the store. Her teamwork skills enabled the project to be completed on time while aligning merchandising with promotional activities resulting in an innovative guest experience.
