The move brings Steve Yates, formerly Buildxact’s executive vice president of enterprise sales to the role as CEO. He will replace David Murray, who is stepping down effective May 2024.
The company says the transition marks a new chapter for Buildxact as it continues to grow its capabilities and services in The United States, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and The United Kingdom.
Murray has been at the helm since October 2017, leading the company through rapid growth in Australia and New Zealand and its expansion into North America.
“I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved at Buildxact over the past seven years,” said Murray. “It has been an honor to lead such a passionate and talented team from a very small stage to a global player.”
Yates has served as Buildxact’s executive vice president of enterprise and industry partner
channels since January 2020, driving North American market priorities and global industry partnerships. A leader in the construction industry, with specific experience creating efficient global supply chains, in his time at the company, Yates has guided Buildxact from being a construction management solution singularly for use by builders, to a platform for the construction industry which Builders and Suppliers use to collaborate, simplify processes and drive efficiency together.
“I am excited and honored to take on this new role,” said Yates. “We have an incredible team and an unmatched commitment to innovation and customer success. I am eager to lead Buildxact as we continue to deliver industry-leading solutions and advancements that empower our customers to achieve their business goals.”
