Benjamin Benjamin Obdyke, the building products manufacturer with a focus on roofing and moisture management products, has added Scott Murray and Michael Lee as market development managers for the West Coast and the Mid-Atlantic regions.

Murray’s newly added position will serve architect, builder, and dealer customers in California, Nevada, Arizona, and New Mexico, expanding Benjamin Obdyke’s support network as the company’s footprint, influence, and popularity continue to grow in the West, the company said.

Murray will focus on pull-through sales via architect specification as well as product and installation education for builders, contractors, developers, and LBM dealers.  Murray has spent his entire 24-year career in the construction industry, including recent sales management and technical positions at Boral Building Products and California Cascade Industries.

“Along with Scott’s extensive experience and intimate market knowledge, his dedication to the products he sells instills an invaluable level of trust among his customers,” said Tara Murray (no relation), marketing director for Benjamin Obdyke. “This will be key as we continue to reach new markets and customers in the West and Southwest.”

Lee joins Benjamin Obdyke following six years as a territory sales manager for industrial tool manufacturer Enerpac, among other sales roles. Lee will support dealer and pro customers in Maryland, Virginia, and Delaware with product knowledge and specification support, education, and market development and expansion.

“Mike’s background in industrial distribution and as a diesel mechanic have nurtured a technical mindset that is ideally suited to Benjamin Obdyke’s innovative wall and roof solutions,” Murray said. “His ability to relate to building pros and his passion for his role will translate directly to our customers’ product and training needs.”

Murray is based out of Sacramento, California while Michael Lee’s home base is in Frederick, Maryland.
