Beacon has already made three expansion moves in 2023.
Beacon is continuing to expand at a rapid pace in 2023.
The Herndon, Va.-based roofing and building products distributor has opened a new greenfield location in August, Ga.
This latest branch establishes service in the greater Augusta market, including adjacent counties in South Carolina.
“The branch is stocked with leading brands of roofing and complementary products, including Beacon’s own Tri-Built products,” said Brian Gibson, Beacon regional vice president, South Atlantic. “We are pleased to expand Beacon’s service in Georgia, where we now have 13 branches across the state. Contractors know that we help them to build more and grow their businesses with tools like our leading digital platform, Beacon PRO+.”
Beacon is off to a fast start in 2023 with this new greenfield opening along with the two tuck-in acquisitions announced last week. The moves are part of Beacon’s Ambition 2025 growth strategy.
Near the start of the new year, Beacon announced it had purchased Boston-based Whitney Building Products. A day later, the company reported the acquisition of First Coastal Exteriors with locations in Mobile, Ala. and Pearl, Miss.
The company distributes roofing materials and complementary products, such as siding and waterproofing. Through more than 470 branches in the United States and Canada.
