Beacon plans to open 15 greenfield locations this year.

Roofing and building products distributor Beacon is continuing to expand its presence at a fast pace in 2023.

Beacon announced that it has opened its latest greenfield location in Gulfport, Mississippi.

The branch is serving Gulfport, Biloxi, and surrounding metropolitan area customers, the roofing and building materials distributor said.

This is Beacon’s fifth greenfield branch opening in 2023.

The company anticipates opening at least 15 new locations by the end of the year

“We are pleased to expand Beacon’s footprint in this growing Mississippi Gulf Coast market,” said Lynn France, Beacon regional vice president, Southeast. “This new branch is stocked with leading brands of residential and commercial roofing and complementary products, including Beacon’s own TRI-BUILT products. In addition, customers on the go across the region can use our mobile app, Beacon PRO+, to save time and track deliveries.”

The openings are part of the Herndon, Virginia-based company’s “Ambition 2025” growth strategy.

Last month, Beacon acquired Al’s Roofing Supply, Inc. in Hayward, California, and Prince Building Systems, LLC in Neillsville, Wisconsin.

Acquisitions have been a big part of Beacon’s growth strategy this year with the company purchasing Whitney Building Products in Boston and First Coastal Exteriors with operations in Alabama and Mississippi.

Greenfield openings in 2023 include new locations in the August, Georgia; Fort Worth, Texas; and West Bend, Wisconsin markets
