Beacon has been off to a fast start in 2023 through a combination of new branch openings and acquisitoins.
Roofing and building products distributor Beacon has opened its latest greenfield location in West Bend, Wisconsin.
The new branch will provide service to the greater Milwaukee market while supporting Washington County customers.
“We are pleased to expand Beacon’s footprint which now covers the Milwaukee-Fox Valley corridor,” said Larry Augello, Beacon regional vice president, north central. “This new branch is stocked with leading brands of residential and commercial roofing and complementary products, including Beacon’s own TRI-BUILT products.”
Augello also noted that customers on-the-go across the region can utilize the Beacon PRO+ mobile app to save time and track deliveries.
In 2022, Beacon opened 16 greenfield branches. The Herndon, Va.-based company now says it anticipates opening another 15 greenfield branches in 2023.
The openings are part of Beacon’s Ambition 2025 strategy, aimed at company growth.
This year Beacon has already opened new locations in the August, Georgia and Fort Worth, Texas markets.
Acquisitions have also been part of the mix in 2023 with the company purchasing Whitney Building Products in Boston and First Coastal Exteriors with operations in Alabama and Mississippi.
Altogether, Beacon operates more than 480 branches in all 50 states and Canada’s 6 provinces.
Last month, Beacon reported that fourth quarter 2022 sales increased 12.2% to $1.97 billion. Residential roofing product sales increased 5.1% in the fourth quarter basis, non-residential roofing product sales increased 25.2%, and complementary product sales increased 14%.
Beacon also posted full-year 2022 sales of $8.43 billion, rising 23.6% compared to the prior year.
