Beacon has opened 16 new branches this year.
Building products distributor Beacon has opened new locations in Grand Haven, Michigan and Joplin, Missouri.
The new branches will serve residential and commercial contractors along with regional lumberyards, the company said.
So far in 2023, Beacon has opened 16 greenfields and completed seven acquisitions.
The new Grand Haven branch is in the Grand Rapids metropolitan area.
“This location will serve the popular lake-side community as part of our Western Michigan Beacon OTC network,” said Jake Gosa, Beacon president, North Division. “Our product range and digital tools, like Beacon PRO+, make us the supplier of choice for the Grand Rapids area.”
The new Joplin branch is dedicated to serving lumberyard customers.
“This location’s proximity to Interstates 44 and 49 is ideal for serving our Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma customers,” said Clint Wade, Beacon’s national vice president. “This tri-state area is a busy region and we have customized our product range, trucking routes, and team expertise to deliver industry-leading service for our lumberyard customers,”
Earlier this month, Beacon acquired S&H Building Material Corporation (S&H) of Medford, New York on Long Island.
Based in Herndon, Virginia, Beacon operates 500 branches in the United States and Canada.
