The WORX 20V Multi-Function LED Light
The light features five functions including use as a flashlight, lantern, or desk lamp.
Among the new products WORX unveiled at the recent National Hardware Show is the 20V Multi-Function LED Light.
The light features five functions including a flashlight, lantern, desk lamp with Hi/Lo settings, and flashing emergency light. Unlike incandescent bulbs, which have been commonly used in flashlights, LED lights burn cooler and are the longest running light source available today.
The WORX Multi-Function LED Light is like getting five separate light sources. As a flashlight, the 5.6 lb. (with battery) flashlight projects a beam of light that’s the equivalent of 125 lumens. The flashlight beam burns for 18 hours on a single charge of the 1.5 Ah battery.
When used as a lantern, the multi-function LED light telescopes beyond the flashlight’s body and can be placed in a vertical position or angled right or left to 140º. The surrounding light is ideal for camping and working beneath sinks or in attics, crawl spaces, engine compartments, boat hulls and other sheltered areas. In this configuration, the lantern generates 450 lumens and continues to produce light for up to eight hours.
The WORX LED light also can be used as a desk lamp with a Hi and Lo settings. By tilting the LED 70º, the light is in perfect position for deskside reading, working on a laptop or tablet, crafts projects and other detail work. At Hi, it generates 420 lumens and will run continuously for up to seven hours. In the Lo setting, it’s 180 lumens and will run 18 hours.
When emergency mode is selected, the Multifunction LED will blink constantly on and off. The flashlight is in the vertical position and the LED is fully extended. This feature can be used in roadside emergencies or other applications to signal distress. In this function, the LED has 450 lumens and will operate for up to 12 hours.
The Multi-Function LED Light is constructed of high-impact plastic. A lanyard is included with the light. Moving from one function to the other is managed by pressing and releasing the end cap. To cycle through all the flashlight’s features, the user simply presses the end cap and releases it five times to channel through each positive stop.
The LED Light is compatible with other WORX 20V lawn and garden and DIY tools and is part of the WORX 20V Power Share program. The light is also covered by the WORX three-year warranty.
