Harvey Building Products names new president, COO
Nick Longman will work directly with Harvey customers, vendors and employees.
Harvey Building Products has hired Nick Longman to the newly-created position of company president and COO.
“Nick joins our team with an impressive 15-year record of success in leading businesses in a number of industries,” said Jim Barreira, CEO of Harvey Building Products. “With an extensive background in commercial processes, operations and strategy deployment, Nick is a customer-focused leader known for building highly-engaged teams.”
Barreira said hat the new position has been created at Harvey Building Products so that he can focus attention on new growth initiatives for the company.
“Our recent acquisitions of Thermo-Tech Windows and Doors and Soft-Lite, LLC are great examples of the types of business opportunities we’re looking to explore,” says Barreira. “As a company we’re ready to expand our business segments and geographies. While I focus on those prospects, Nick will work directly with our customers, vendors and employees on our daily operations.”
Earlier this week Harvey announced that it had acquired Thermo-Tech Windows and Doors, a manufacturer based in Sauk Rapids, Minn.
Longman most recently served as vp and general manager for Colfax Corporation, a provider of fluid handling and welding solutions.
Based in Waltham, Mass., Harvey Building Products manufactures building products – including windows and doors – and distributes siding, roofing, decking and trim. The company operates two manufacturing facilities along with 36 distribution centers and 13 product showrooms.
