Apex Tool Group announced the appointment of James G. Booth to SVP, global OpEx and supply chain.
“I am confident that James’s experience and deep industry knowledge will help us navigate global supply chain constraints and further our work toward operational excellence,” said Jim Roberts, CEO, Apex Tool Group.
As SVP of global OpEx and supply chain, Booth will serve on the executive leadership team and report directly to Roberts. He will be responsible for improving supply chain and operational efficiencies, flow through, and working capital, said the company.
“I am excited to be joining such a talented and engaged team. The ATG family of products is best-in-class, and I’m proud to represent them. The last few years have presented many supply chain challenges, and I look forward to bringing my expertise to ATG to help take them head-on,” said Booth.
He most recently served as the chief operating officer and chief information officer at Corsicana Mattress Company, where he was responsible for distribution, manufacturing operations, supply chain, strategic sourcing, and logistics.
Booth is an accomplished supply chain and global operations leader, said the firm, with over 27 years of experience at prominent consumer products and industrial companies like VF Corporation, Heritage Home Group, Newell Rubbermaid, and Ford Motor Company.
Booth has an MBA from the University of Detroit, a Master of Manufacturing Operations from Kettering University, and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Victoria.
