Allied Air unveils new furnaces
Allied Air Enterprises announces the new A972E and A972V Two-Stage Constant Torque & Variable Speed Gas Furnaces with 97% AFUE Efficiency under the Armstrong Air and AirEase brands.
The new furnaces meet the efficiency qualifications for $600 in tax credits under the Inflation Reduction Act.
The IRA was signed into law in 2022 and is a 10-year program. The 25C tax credit program was updated with enhanced efficiency requirements to qualify for tax credits. Dealers, in order to adequately serve their customers, need a wide range of products that can meet the updated efficiency requirements, not just the most premium models.
“The Armstrong Air and AirEase A972E and A972V Gas Furnace meets the need for an affordable and easy to install unit that utilizes the latest technology to provide quiet operation, efficiency, and comfort,” said Angela Chapoy, General Manager Allied Air Enterprises. “We are committed to sustainability and more efficient solutions for consumers that allow homeowners to take advantage of incentives that will be in place until 2032.”
The products also feature Two-Stage Heating- Instead of being “all on” or “all off,” the furnace can adjust its heat output based on conditions inside and outside the home, using less energy to maintain comfort.
Like a variable speed furnace, constant torque furnaces provide lower operating costs and increases to overall system efficiency. Compared to standard PSC motors, constant torque delivers more consistent airflow and quieter operation, the company said.
