The team at Boston Unique Indoor Comfort said it prides itself on its reputation for outstanding customer service, a passion it shares with its new parent company Ace Hardware.

Ace Hardware has acquired Boston Unique Indoor Comfort, an HVAC services company.

“We believe we have a real shot at being and becoming the best, most helpful hardware stores on the planet – and – the best, most trusted provider of home preservation services for customers who are longing to fill a gaping hole in their neighborhood; namely, a brand who will stand behind the products they sell and the services they offer,” said John Venhuizen, CEO of Ace Hardware.

Ace Hardware Home Services plans to pave the way toward a more efficient experience including expanded services and lower costs for the greater Boston area and north shore Massachusetts, customers, said the firm.

“Our partnership with Ace Hardware aligns perfectly with our mission to continually improve our customer service and focus on quality,” said Steve Martin, GM of Boston Unique Indoor Comfort.

The firm specializes in full-service HVAC installation, repair, and maintenance services for residential homes including extensive experience with older homes in the Boston area.

The company was opened by Donald Martin in 1995. His son Steve Martin continues to manage the business today.

“When my father started this business nearly 30 years ago, our focus was always to create a personal relationship with our customers based on trust, reliability and clear communication,” said Martin.

Boston Unique said it handles air-conditioning, ducted and ductless heat pumps, high efficiency gas furnaces, hot water and steam boilers.

“Our experience and background paired with the helpful spirit and resources of Ace Hardware will allow us to bring a new level of service to our customers,” said Martin.

Both companies understand the importance of customer connection and of community support.

“With respect to prospective job creation, we consider it our duty to offer people the opportunity – even without a college degree – for a meaningful and fulfilling life, skillfully working with their hands – and their head – to repair and replace, to preserve and protect, and to fortify and beautify the largest asset most people own: Their home,” said Venhuizen.
