Associated Building Material Distributors of America (ABMDA), the nation’s largest buying group exclusively dedicated to independent 2-step wholesale distributors in the building materials industry, has accepted Britton Lumber Company of Fairlee, Vermont, as its newest member.

ABMDA says it has welcomed six additional distributors in recent months. Together, these companies represent 16 distribution locations across New England, the Midwest, and  Eastern Canada—contributing over $600 million in combined revenue.

“We are thrilled to add Britton Lumber Company and the other new members to our family of  distributors,” said Garry Tabor, executive vice president of ABMDA. “Each of these firms are multi-generational, independent companies and all embrace the core values of ABMDA – value selling, collaboration and strengthening the role 2-step distributors provide in the supply chain.”

“We are very happy to join ABMDA. Their buying programs are top-tier, but equally important to Britton Lumber Company is the support ABMDA provides to its membership, outside of those programs.” said Brian Moses, general manager – distribution division.
