84 Lumber said that it expects to grow its employee base to 60 associates at its latest truss plant.
Component manufacturing is an important part of 84 Lumber’s business, the company said.
Manufacturing centers enable the company to support its customers and stores as well as give 84 Lumber associates even more opportunities for growth. The company has invested substantially in opening new facilities and upgrading equipment at existing locations over the past five years. As the company also continues to increase its presence westward, it expects to create component facilities within a number of planned new 84 Lumber stores.
“We are excited to open our newest component plant in Richmond because it fills a need for engineered and manufactured wood products in the area,” said 84 Lumber Area Manager Steve Benko. “The facility will help grow and strengthen our partnerships with new and existing customers.”
Based in Eighty Four, Pa., 84 Lumber operates 250 stores, component manufacturing plants, custom door shops, custom millwork shops and engineered wood product centers in more than 30 states.
84 Lumber also offers turnkey installation services for a variety of products, including framing, insulation, siding, windows, roofing, decking and drywall.
