84 Lumber helps bring H.O.M.E. an airman
84 Lumber delivered a Christmas gift to support Operation H.O.M.E.’s goal to bring home enlisted soldiers for Christmas. The prodealer donated $15,000, which helped to bring home Senior Airman Jaylen Spotts as a very special surprise to his Columbus, Ohio-based family just in time for Christmas.
The initials of Operation H.O.M.E. stand for “Helping our Military’s Enlisted.” The first goal of the charity is to help the enlisted soldiers visit family. It will also help those soldiers with serious needs when possible.
The Eighty Four, Pa.-based prodealer also announced a $15,000 donation to the Gary Sinise Foundation’s R.I.S.E. program, which builds specially adapted smart homes for the most severely wounded military veterans.
R.I.S.E. stands for “Restoring Independence Supporting Empowerment.” In addition to building specially adapted homes, the foundation provides home modifications, mobility devices, and adapted vehicles to injured, wounded, ill, and aging veterans.
