84 Lumber has opened its newest store in Commerce Charter Township, Mich. 

The opening marks the prodealer’s first location in Michigan. 84 Lumber operates more than 250 stores, component manufacturing plants, custom door shops, custom millwork shops and engineered wood product centers in over 30 states.

The brand new 42,000 square foot facility includes an extensive warehouse with a spacious showroom and is less than 40 miles northwest of Detroit.

Currently employing 10 associates, the store plans to hire more than 20 additional associates in the coming months. The space includes roofing, trim, treated lumber, windows, doors and more. 

“The construction market is flourishing in Michigan, with a great amount of single- and multi-family homes being built,” said Tyler Haas, general manager of Commerce Charter Township store. “We are excited to be a part of this competitive market and to continue growing within the Commerce Township community.”

Based in Eighty Four, Pa.,  84 Lumber is one of the largest privately-held building material suppliers in the nation. 

84 Lumber also said it expects to close out 2022 with record sales numbers.

The company ended its 2021 fiscal year with sales of $7.863 billion.
