Westlake Ace adding another Kansas store
Westlake Ace Hardware has signed an agreement to build a new store in the Monticello Shopping Center in Shawnee, Kan. The center is located along highway K-7, near Shawnee Mission Parkway. Other shopping center tenants include Price Chopper grocery store, UMB Bank, Chipotle, and Advance Auto.
When construction is completed, the new Westlake Ace store will feature approximately 12,500 sq. ft. of retail space. A soft opening will likely be in late 2025 or early 2026, per the company.
In addition to offering services like key cutting and automotive key fob replacement, screen repair, carpet cleaning machine rental, and propane tank exchange, the new Westlake Ace store will sell lawn and garden supplies, fasteners, tools, plumbing and electrical supplies. The location will also feature several specialty departments and store-within-a-store concepts, selling brands like:
- Weber, Traeger, Big Green Egg, Blackstone, and Ooni grills and accessories
- DeWalt, Milwaukee, and Craftsman power tools
- Diablo saw blades and power tool accessories
- Benjamin Moore and Magnolia Home by Joanna Gaines paints
- EGO, Milwaukee, Stihl, and Toro outdoor power equipment
- Seasonal live goods, Scotts, and Miracle-Gro lawn and plant care products
- Yeti coolers, drinkware, and accessories
Westlake Ace Hardware owns and operates 30 locations in the greater Kansas City metro area and a 29,944 sq. ft. fulfillment center for the Westlake Commercial business-to-business sales division.
