Scholarship awards for both programs range from $1,000 to $4,000.
The Toro Company announced that in 2023, more than $400,000 in financial grants were awarded to 164 students representing 20 TTC communities.
The scholarships help support employees and their families in furthering their academic aspirations through philanthropic giving, said the outdoor firm.
“Empowering our employees to achieve their personal and professional goals is part of our culture at Toro,” said Marnie Wells, president of The Toro Company Foundation.
Two annual scholarship programs are available to Toro employees and their dependents through both The Toro Company scholarship program and the Mike and Tami Hoffman scholarship program.
Since 1976, The Toro Company said the scholarship program has awarded students based on academic record, leadership and participation in school and community activities, honors and work experience, along with educational and career goals.
Additionally, the Mike and Tami Hoffman scholarship program, founded by former CEO Mike Hoffman and his wife Tami in 2017, awards scholarships to students based primarily on financial need, while also considering academic and personal achievement.
“We’re proud to recognize and applaud the hard work and academic success of our employees and their families as they pursue an education,” said Wells.
