The 2022 Economic Outlook and Housing Forecast Executive Panel features a lineup of experienced analysts to dive into the deep waters of finance and business.

In a new format this year, the ProDealer Industry Summit will offer a dynamic panel of leading financial experts that will share their economic outlook and forecast for several topic areas including the overall economy, inflation, taxes, housing market trends, interest rates, housing affordability, and the impact that the supply chain challenges is having on business owners and consumers.

The panel features:

• Michael Fratantoni, Ph.D, chief economist and senior vice president, research and industry technology, Mortgage Bankers Association;

• Danushka Nanayakkara Skillington, assistant vice president, forecasting and analysis, National Association of Home Builders;

• Matthew Saunders, vice president of building products, John Burns Real Estate Consulting; and

• Lawrence Yun, chief economist and senior vice president of research, National Association of Realtors.

The panel will bring into one session four different aspects of the housing industry, generating a variety of insights to help guide businesses over the subsequent months.

The NAHB has previously revealed a forecast for home building and remodeling that included expectations for a 1.0% increase in single-family housing starts in 2022.

At the International Builders Show in Las Vegas earlier this year, Robert Dietz of the NAHB said: “Building material costs are up 21% compared to a year ago,” said Robert Dietz, chief economist of the National Association of Home Builders. “Their price and availability, along with persistent supply chain bottlenecks, remains the most urgent challenge for builders as they seek to boost production to meet rising demand.”
