Specialty Building Products makes a pair of distribution moves
Specialty Building Products (SBP), the building materials distributor with a portfolio that includes U.S. Lumber, Reeb, Alexandria Millwork, and DW Distribution, Inc, among other brands, has made a pair of supply chain moves.
The Duluth, Georgia-based company is expanding its partnership with James Hardie Building Products, the manufacturer of fiber cement siding and backerboard solutions.
SBP will now carry the entire range of James Hardie siding and trim products in its Oklahoma City, Kansas City, and St. Louis distribution centers, increasing its number of stocking distribution centers to 14.
“We are pleased to bolster our portfolio of services to our valued customers in these high-growth markets with the expanded offering from James Hardie,” said Chris Gerhard, executive vice president at SBP. “The combination of James Hardie’s innovative and trusted products and our value-added service proposition will drive continued growth for both companies and, most importantly, strengthen our customers’ access to more product offerings in key verticals.”

Westlake Royal Building Products distribution expansion
Westlake Royal Building Products also announced this morning an expanded partnership with U.S. Lumber and Amerhart, which are both SBP brands.
Through this expanded partnership, U.S. Lumber and Amerhart will add distribution for more of Westlake Royal’s leading brands, including Versetta Stone, SkyTrim, Royal Trim & Mouldings and Cedar Renditions, across multiple locations in Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, and Massachusetts.
