One on One with Wilson Lumber

Nichole Mitchell wears many hats at Wilson Lumber Company, based in Huntsville, Alabama.

 

As the vice president of people and culture, she oversees all aspects of human resources, including talent acquisition, employee relations, training and development, compensation and benefits, health and safety, and culture and engagement. 

 

Company culture is increasingly important, especially to the next generation.

 

As she says in the One-on-One interview above, "The next generation doesn't want just a paycheck, they are more values driven and they want to feel proud of the impact that their work has."

 

Mitchell serves on the board of the North Alabama Society for Human Resource Management (NASHRM) as the Director of Workforce Readiness. She also serves on the Board of Influencers for The Cornerstone Initiative.
She is a native of Nashville, Tennessee and is married with 2 children.
