Howard Walker's True Value Hardware celebrated a grand opening on April 12, 2025.

The store is named in honor of the father of co-owner Julie Walker-Martin. Howard Walker, who died in 2022, served the community as a math teacher for 50 years,  and the Pastor of First Christian Church in Henrietta, Texas, for 60.

Located in the heart of Henrietta, this new hardware store occupies the beautifully restored former Olsen Stelzer Boot and Saddlery building, a historic structure built in the early 1900s that adds charm and character to the downtown area.

“We’re grateful for the warm reception we’ve received from the community and are excited to continue serving Henrietta with a store that combines small-town charm with a broad selection of products,” said Co-owner Julie Walker-Martin. “We hope to create a welcoming space where people feel at home and can find everything they need for their projects, big or small.”

The store offers a wide range of products, including housewares, lawn & garden supplies, automotive, electrical, plumbing, welding tools, and much more. Cory and Julie’s commitment to providing excellent customer service and high-quality merchandise ensures that Howard Walker’s True Value Hardware will be a valuable resource for both residents and visitors alike.

“We are thrilled to bring Howard Walker’s True Value Hardware to our hometown,” said Co-owner Cory Martin. “This store represents more than just a place to shop — it’s a tribute to the community that has supported the Walker family over the years. We’re excited to be a part of Henrietta’s growth and to offer a variety of high-quality products to meet the needs of our customers.”
