Weyerhaeuser takes some fire safety precautions
Weyerhaeuser Company is taking some measures to protect its lands from forest fires.
Due to a high risk of fire, the company has banned all campfires on its lands in Flathead, Lake, Lincoln, Missoula, Sanders and Ravalli counties in Western Montana.
The ban takes effect immediately and will remain in effect until further notice.
However, the lands are still open for hunting, fishing, hiking, biking, camping and other recreation activities.
Weyerhaeuser owns or controls more than 13 million acres of timberlands, primarily in the U.S.
