Weyerhaeuser names new vp
Claire Grace has been named a vp at forest products giant Weyerhaeuser, reporting to Sandy McDade, senior vp and general counsel.
Grace will also continue to serve as corporate secretary and assistant general counsel -- roles she has held since 2000 -- the Federal Way, Wash.-based company announced.
She joined Weyerhaeuser in 1997 as a senior attorney and became senior legal counsel in 1999. Prior to that, Grace was vp and associate counsel for Washington Mutual, an attorney with Perkins Coie and a law clerk for the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit.
Grace earned her law degree at the University of Washington. She also holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts and a master’s degree from Goddard College.
