Stanley reveals new line of stud finders
Among the new products on display during a product demonstration event held in New York City this week by Stanley Black & Decker: a new line of stud finders with user-friendly features.
Stanley announced the introduction of four new stud sensors -- models STHT77403, STHT77404, STHT77406, FMHT77407 -- during the event.
“We are pleased to offer a new range of stud sensors that are designed to satisfy a broad range of needs for DYIers as well as professional contractors,” said product manager Spencer Maheu.
The entire lineup features AC Detection, which detects live wires up to 2 ins. below surface material -- and they are designed ergonomically with soft grips for comfort and control.
Retail prices for the line range from $12.99 to $34.99
The top of the line Stanley FatMax Stud Sensor 300 -- model FMHT77407 -- detects studs up to 1-1/2 ins. below surface material, and its backlit LCD screen displays all of the tool’s readings, even in low lighting conditions. Additional features include OnePass Center Find Technology -- which locates the stud’s center for convenience, as well as the deep metal scan, which can sense metal up to 3 ins. below surface material.
