Snavely Forest Products chosen as Accoya wood distributor

Accsys Technologies, a London-based high-tech wood manufacturer, has chosen Snavely Forest Products as one of the U.S. distributors of its Accoya wood.

The wood—which is currently available in a handful of U.S. stores — goes through a process that prevents insect damage and fungus by replacing water-bonding molecules with more stable ones.

Snavely’s will focus on distributing Accoya in Colorado, Pennsylvania, Texas, Maryland and North Carolina. Accsys’ director of sales and marketing, Bryan Crennell, said that the partnership “signals targeted expansions of Accoya in the U.S.”

“Accoya is an innovative wood product, with excellent performance properties that are ideal for the U.S. market,” said Snavely VP, marketing, Clark Spitzer, said. "Its durability, strength, and stability make it particularly well suited to the range of applications we will develop.”
