SHW lead-paint case set for trial
The Sherwin-Williams Co. says its court date is set for July 15 in a California lead-paint case.
A previously disclosed, Sherwin-Williams is a defendant in a proceeding in the Superior Court of the State of California, County of Santa Clara relating to the presence of lead products used in paints and coatings.
This proceeding involves a sole claim for public nuisance brought by 10 cities and counties in California against five defendant companies. The presiding judge in the proceeding has issued an order setting the trial to begin on July 15. Previously, on May 23, 2013, the judge had postponed the prior trial date of June 24, 2013.
