This shovel attachment packs a great deal of heft
An ergonomic solution to lawn and garden work is making its way from Canada to the National Hardware Show in Las Vegas this May.
The HEFT is a secondary handle for long shaft tools like snow shovels, rakes, and garden spades.
Attaching in less than one second with a simple twist, the handle helps reduce injury and pain, requiring no additional tools or nuts and bolts. There are also no moving parts to pinch fingers.
"Every year, many people across the USA will experience some form of low back pain or injury while shoveling snow or working in their garden," said the company in a statement. "The HEFT helps reduce that pain by quickly attaching to long shaft tools allowing the user to stand more upright –- making existing tools ergonomic in one second. The magic of The HEFT is in the unique patented opposing collars which means The HEFT can be attached or removed in one second without the need for additional tools."
Distributed by Chocolate Cats Distribution Inc., the HEFT can fit all sorts of long-shaft tools with diameters of 1 to 1.4 inches.
