Royal Building Products nominates some exterior colors for 2016

Royal Building Products has announced its 2016 Exterior Color Palette of the Year, and earth tones feature prominently.

The palette is a mix of bold blues and greens and warm, neutral browns: Linen, Sand and Pebble Clay neutrals and Wedgewood, Shamrock and Ironstone bolds.

"Blue and green are key colors for 2016,” said Kriss Swint, director of interactive strategy and design, Royal Building Products. “They provide a bold contrast to exteriors when paired with warm neutrals. Our palette supports the trend of colors shifting to nature and environmental hues. Nature will continue to influence exterior design in this way as more consumers gravitate towards this palette.”

To come up with the palette, Royal looked at interior and exterior home design trends, as well as sales statistics in the U.S. and Canada.
