Roseburg completes California timberlands sale

Roseburg Resources Co., a division of Roseburg Forest Products has completed the sale of its California timberlands to Shasta Cascade Timberlands.

Shasta Cascade Timberlands, a new company formed by timberland management firm New Forests. The transaction includes approximately 170,000 acres of investment-grade timberland in northern California, largely in Siskiyou and Shasta counties. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"Shasta Cascade Timberlands is acquiring a very well-managed, high-quality tree farm, and will benefit from the services of a team of highly skilled professional employees," said Scott Folk, Roseburg’s SVP of resources. "I want to thank the employees of our California resource group for continuing to work safely through the sale process and for their significant contributions to Roseburg over the years."

Based in Roseburg, Ore., Roseburg Forest Products is one of the nation’s largest privately-held forest products and building products manufacturers.
