Readers Respond: Single-payer leads the way

2/20/2018

Healthcare is a perennially controversial topic, and everyone's got an opinion of how it should be handled.

With all the renewed focus on the U.S. healthcare system as Congress fights to push through a new plan, we decided to check in with our readers again to see how they felt the wind should blow this time.

And at the moment, it seems that the Canadian model is the most popular option among our readership, with "single-payer healthcare" winning 31% of the vote.

The next most popular option, at 27%, was to replace Obamacare while maintaining support for Medicaid.

Only 12% agreed with Trumpcare, and still fewer -- 9% -- thought we should keep Obamacare as it is.

However, another 20% said "none of the above."
