During the recent Home Depot shareholder’s meeting in Atlanta, CEO Craig Menear closed his remarks by quoting business guru Peter Drucker.

Here’s the quote: “Culture eats strategy for breakfast.”

It was a fitting reference to what the executives at the world’s largest home improvement retailer believe to be a key to achieving their sales goals -- and that is the attitudes of the employees in the aisles.
