Police shut down Colorado hardware store
Police in Salida, Colo., surrounded Salida True Value Hardware March 2, seizing lawn tractors and closing down the store, ABC affiliate KRDO News Channel 13 reported.
While police said a court order prevented them from commenting on the nature of the investigation, Police Chief Terry Clark did say that that the actions taken by his officers were the result of orders from the office of the Colorado Attorney General. He also said the investigation could take up to a week and that the store will remain closed during that time.
The Colorado Attorney General’s office confirmed that a search warrant was being executed at the store. About a half-dozen lawn tractors were taken by police officers, KRDO reported.
