Owens Corning building receives Green Seal certification
Owens Corning, a global manufacturer of residential and commercial building materials, has announced that a building at its science and technology (S&T) center in Granville, Ohio, has met the Green Seal environmental standard for cleaning services. This is the second building in Ohio to receive this certification.
"This achievement proves we're doing things right to provide a cleaner atmosphere for people in the building and for the Granville community at large," said Vince Brown, Granville site operations leader.
The Granville facilities team worked with its cleaning service, ServiceMaster Facility Services by George, to meet the standard. Chemicals used to clean the building are environmentally friendly and are stored away from the main work space. ServiceMaster also added floor and scraping mats near the doors to keep dirt and dust from entering.
Green Seal is an independent, non-profit group that promotes eco-friendly products and services.
