NLBMDA appeals for action on 1099 repeal
An action alert issued Monday by the National Lumber and Building Material Dealers Association (NLBMDA) urged members to call their senators to support tax relief and repeal of the 1099 mandate.
According to the NLBMDA Action Alert: "The Senate appears to be moving closer to extending, temporarily, all of the 2001 and 2003 Bush tax cuts. For small businesses who are pass-through entities, this means the top marginal tax rate will remain at 35%, rather than reverting to 39.6% for 2011."
Pro dealers were urged to contact their senators through the Capitol Switchboard -- 202-225-3121.
