New Florida trade group formed

The Florida Building Material Association (FBMA) has announced the formation of a new trade group called the Florida Rebar Fabricators Council. The FBMA established the council, it said, because a number of its members are in the steel rebar fabrication business and would be best served by their own programs and networking opportunities.

The Fabricators Council will be a semiautonomous organization governed by its own bylaws and led by an executive committee elected by its membership, according to the FBMA announcement. It will also have representation on the FBMA board. In addition to networking and educational programs, the new group will focus on legislative and regulatory issues in Florida.
