Minwax Gel Stain ups the DIY ante

Minwax Gel Stain has expanded with two new color choices for staining doors, cabinets and other wood surfaces.

Now available in the dark, sophisticated shades of Black and Coffee, Minwax Gel Stain features a non-drip formula for added precision.

“Minwax Gel Stain’s heavier bodied formula and gelled consistency gives DIYers full control to apply the stain to wood surfaces without fear of it running or dripping,” said Jacquelyn Ferrara, director of marketing at Minwax. “The new darker colors reflect the latest color trends and the gel formula makes updating the wood surfaces in the home faster and easier.”

The formula can be applied with either a brush or rag and is available in 12 colors.

The Gel Stain can also stain non-wood surfaces like fiberglass and veneer.
