McCoy’s honors Hall of Fame vendor partners

3/1/2018

McCoy’s Building Supply recently inducted Ralph Cross of PPG Architectural Coatings and Michael Murphy of Louisiana-Pacific into the McCoy’s Partner Hall of Fame.

Ralph Cross was recognized for his eight years of work as an account manager with McCoy’s.

“I can always count on Ralph to deliver the service needed to care for our customers. He’s even taken work calls while out on his fishing boat,” said Gloria Gonzales, McCoy’s program merchant. “Ralph has also been a strong supporter of McCoy’s marketing efforts to help grow our paint business and has personally handed over the keys to the lucky winners of companywide promotional giveaways for a boat and an all-terrain vehicle in recent years.”

Michael Murphy was also inducted to the Partner Hall of Fame for his work with McCoy’s.

“My relationship with Michael goes back 20 years to when he was working with one of our treated pine suppliers,” said Tom Hastings, replenishment lumber manager. “Michael has moved throughout the distribution and manufacturing community gathering knowledge, sharing that knowledge and increasing his visibility in our stores. He is approachable, dependable and a true friend of McCoy’s.”

McCoy’s Building Supply created the Partner Hall of Fame award as a way to thank individuals who demonstrate a proven commitment to McCoy’s. There is a five-year business relationship requirement to become eligible for the McCoy’s Hall of Fame award and candidates are considered based on their integrity, knowledge and hard work.

Based in San Marcos, Texas, and founded in 1927, McCoy’s Building Supply operates 87 locations and two millwork facilities in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi and New Mexico. The company employs more than 2,000 people.
