Marcone Canada hires president

Appliance parts distributor Marcone Canada hired Peter Szachlewicz as its first president. 

Marcone Supply, the company's U.S. counterpart, established a presence in Canada with its 2010 buyout of APWagner. Since that time, Marcone Canada has experienced growth in both its retail and wholesale operations, the company said, selling authorized OEM appliance parts, HVAC components and property maintenance supplies.

Szachlewicz comes to Vaughan, Ontario-based Marcone Canada with 15 years of sales and executive experience in the appliance business, serving as GM of Small Appliances at Electrolux Home Care Products and brand and product sales manager at the Whirlpool Corporation before that.

“Because of the quick expansion we've seen throughout North America and our plans to push further, it was time to bring in some expert talent at the highest level to guide Marcone Canada going forward,” said Dave Cook, SVP of Marcone Supply. “Peter has experience, commitment and deep roots to Canada and this industry -- exactly what we were looking for in a president.”
