Lumber Liquidators supports Ronald McDonald houses
Lumber Liquidators has helped create more than 50 "home-away-from-homes" for families, through its support for Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC).
Lumber Liquidators' latest support of RMHC included donating more than $8,000 in bamboo flooring to the Ronald McDonald House of Pittsburgh.
Robert M. Lynch, president and CEO, said, "Ronald McDonald House Charities embodies our commitment to Lay It Forward because it makes lasting impacts on the families it serves. We are pleased to have donated beautiful hardwood floors to Ronald McDonald Houses, helping them create an accommodating home for years to come. This strengthens families during a challenging time and allows them to focus on creating a brighter future for their child."
Since 2007, the largest specialty retailer of hardwood flooring in North America has donated more than 250,000 square feet of flooring to Ronald McDonald Houses, which offer a temporary home to families who have relocated in order to better support and care for their child who is hospitalized or receiving medical treatment.
In April, the National Wood Flooring Association recognized Lumber Liquidators' support for RMHC by honoring the company with a 2013 Community Service Award.
