Lumber Liquidators donates to Habitat for Humanity

2/20/2018

Lumber Liquidators has donated more than $280,000 of flooring and tools in recent years to Habitat for Humanity affiliates.

The company's latest donation included a large selection of tools to the Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg affiliate. The tools will be used to build new homes as well as rehabilitate existing homes in partnership with low-income families in Hampton, James City County and Newport News, Virginia. The affiliate is on schedule to build nine new homes and rehabilitate four in the local community in 2014 alone.

Michael K. Copeland, director of ReStores at Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg, said, "Lumber Liquidators' recent tool donation is so valuable to us. It is because of the generosity of companies like Lumber Liquidators that we are able to continue our mission of eliminating substandard housing in our community."

Lumber Liquidators supports Habitat For Humanity through its philanthropic program, Lay It Forward, which supports organizations that will benefit generations to come.
