L.J. Smith expands sales force

2/20/2018

L.J. Smith Stair Systems has new representation in the South Central U.S. Region, thanks to a new relationship with the Texas-based WBH Group.

The WBH Group sales team will be representing L.J. Smith and Universal Stair Parts throughout Texas; Oklahoma; Arkansas; Mississippi; Louisiana; Memphis, Tennessee; and Wichita, Kansas. The current factory representative for this territory, Michael Martin, will be moving into the regional sales manager position and will be working closely with WBH Group, the company said.

Dan Hardin, WBH Group business partner said, “WBH Group has been incredibly fortunate to have had such long term relationships with our current suppliers (most of which are the No. 1 brand in their category), as well as our valued customers. From a personal perspective, I couldn't be more proud, to be given an opportunity to represent THE leader in the stair parts category, it is truly humbling. This new partnership with L.J. Smith is something that all of us at WBH Group are looking forward to for many years to come.”

“WBH Group has represented our Universal Stair Parts brand for many years, and we could not be more pleased with their choice to take on L.J. Smith Stair Systems. Their unique blend of industry knowledge and application expertise is rare so our customers will benefit immensely,” said Craig Kurtz, L.J. Smith.

Founded in 1885, L.J. Smith Stair Systems describes itself as the largest manufacturer of stair parts in the country. The company is headquartered in Bowerston, Ohio, and serves all 50 states from nine distribution branches and four manufacturing centers across the United States.
