Leslie’s Poolmart makes big splash with openings

Phoenix-based Leslie’s Poolmart, the retailer of swimming pool supplies and related products, opened 13 new retail locations this month.

Among the March 15 to 18 grand-opening festivities were discounts, including 20% off everything in each of the new stores.

New pool supply stores opened in the following markets: Maricopa, Ariz.; Porterville and San Clemente, Calif.; Deltona and Orlanda, Fla.; Douglasville, Ga.; Denham Springs, La.; Henderson, Nev.; Edmond and Oklahoma City, Okla.; McKinney, Nederland and Rowlett, Texas. 

The company says it plans to open 48 new stores this year, between March and May. With these new stores and its recent acquisition of 24 Warehouse Pool Supply stores in the Houston area, Leslie's will bring its total store count to more than 800 stores nationwide.
