Laura Clise named sustainability director at Plum Creek
Laura Clise is joining the Plum Creek Timber Company team as its new director, sustainability, effective March 30.
In her new role, Clise will be in charge of developing and implementing Plum Creek's sustainability program.
“At Plum Creek, we see opportunities for working forests and wood products to help solve some of the world’s biggest challenges – particularly around renewable energy and carbon sequestration – while also creating shareholder value,” said CEO Rick Holley. “Laura’s experience and thought leadership will help us continue to create and leverage these opportunities. She will be a valued addition to our team.”
Clise was most recently working for nuclear and renewable energy supplier Areva Inc., where she led external communications and corporate citizenship initiatives. Prior to that, she served as director, sustainable development and continuous improvement.
She is also a member of the Net Impact Corporate Advisory Council, and she was selected as an Aspen Institute First Mover Fellow in 2013.
